OOTD: Plaid & Fur
Hey all-
How's your week so far? Mine has been super busy. Because I get the pleasure (sarcasm at its finest) to work this weekend, I went into the office Monday at 1:30, which meant I got to workout before work. Then I was in Charlottesville Tuesday & Wednesday for training. I'm looking forward to having off Friday to relax & prepare to hold down the office all weekend solo. Wish me luck!
I wore this particular outfit Christmas day. My family didn't do anything formal, so I decided against a bronze sequin sweater & opted for faux fur & plaid with a festive red lip. It's casual, yet not too casual, which was perfect for breakfast at my aunt's house.
I know it was a few weeks ago, but what did you do for Christmas?!

OOTD: Peplum Love
Hi everyone-
Yay, my first post of 2014!!!! How was your NYE?!
I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to go out while my friend was in town. This is only the second time I've ever worn a peplum. I love the simplicity of this black top, but then I turn around & BOOM, there's a little skin showing. Because the top is a solid color, I wanted to add a little sparkle & shine with my accessories- hence the statement necklace, glitter heels, shiny blazer & green clutch. What do you think of this outfit?!

OOTD: Plaid is Rad
Hi everyone-
As I'm writing this post, all I can think about is how I really need a photographer or a tripod. These pics were taken by my mom a few weeks ago when she was in town & she does not know how to work my camera. So I present to you these iPhone photos. Ehhh.
Anywho, I wore this outfit when my mom was in town. We dropped the dogs off at the groomer's, then headed straight to the mall. Normally I'm not a huge fan of shopping, but I know she'll buy me a few things when we're out. I had to take advantage. I'll show you what I got in another post this week.
As of late, I simply cannot get enough of plaid. Guess you can say I'm mad for plaid (LOL). It was a little chilly this day, so I knew to throw on my scarf & boots. I also knew I didn't want to lug around a heavy coat, so this faux fur leather jacket completed this look wonderfully.
It's pretty funny, my mom also snagged this shirt for herself, vowing to never wear it when/if I'm wearing mine. I suppose my fashion sense is rubbing off, maybe I can talk her into getting me more plaid. Are you big into wearing plaid?!

OOTD: Casual Friday
Hi everyone-
Friday has finally come! This has been one of the longest weeks- EVER! Though I can't complain, my week was filled with daily trips to Gold's & a cycle session at Boho Cycle Studio (more on this later) with a friend. But I assume that all of my time spend alone has made this week drag on & on.
I wore this outfit last Friday for a day of running errands & relaxing. I can't think of the last time I wore anything other than skinny jeans. It was nice to pull out this bootcut pair & not have to worry about stuffing the legs into boots.
This outfit is also appropriate for casual Fridays at the office. It's somewhat conservative, but the scarf adds a little oomph. Would you wear this to work?

OOTD: Nectar Sunglasses + Giveaway
Hey all-
After experiencing over a week of rain, I was thrilled when the temps went back up (think, 75 degrees +) & the sun made an appearance last Thursday. I knew it was the perfect day to pull out this dress because (hopefully) this would be the last time I'd get to wear it until next spring. I was even more thrilled when I realized I had the perfect pair of sunnies to pair with this dress.
These Nectar Sunglasses are nothing short of fabulous! Although they appear to be similar to last year's Ray-Bans, they are SO MUCH MORE. Unlike the RB's these Nectar glasses are extremely light weight. Being female, I appreciate the lack of heaviness- hello, no lines left on my face. I also love the fact that shape. Most aviators have an extreme teardrop frame, which isn't very flattering on someone with a small face. But lastly, the thing I love most about these- they're POLARIZED!!- Take that Ray-Ban! If you haven't tried polarized lenses, I highly recommend it- it's so good for your eyes!
Nectar offers an array of sunnies, not just aviators. You also have the option to customize your own pair! If my love for Nectar hasn't sold you, the price will- each pair is $15-$25!!!!!! Another great feature the guys over at Nectar offers is no worry exchanges- even if you break them! I don't know about you, but I will definitely be getting more of these sunnies. Head over to Nectar to browse the selection of glasses. Which are you favorites?
Guess what. I'm giving away these beauties. To be entered, simply follow the instructions below. Good luck!!

OOTD: Mad for Plaid
Hey all-
Last week I attended an event hosted by Sydney of Chic Stripes & Baggio Consignment for bloggers/fashion lovers. It was a lovely event. I had never been to the store before & was pleasantly surprised by all of the goodies there. Baggio is a luxury consignment store. You can find names like Louis Vuitton, Hermes & Chanel all in very good condition. I found the most amazing pair of leopard print pony hair Manolo Blahniks ($690) that I wish I could have gotten that night. I still think about them. I also learned that Baggio offers three month layaway on the designer goods- making it the ideal place to purchase luxury items for someone like me who has champagne taste on a beer budget. Be sure to check out Chic Stripes and Baggio's web sites.
It's the weekend, got any plans?!

Eurotrash Fashion Show Pt. 2
Hey all-
A few week ago, I had the pleasure of attending a fashion show at Eurotrash in Carytown. I showed you my outfit, but I never got around to showing you some of the actual event. Below, you will find a two of my must-have pieces from the store (French Connection dress & Maison Scotch coat), as well as some outfits featured in the show.
