OOTD: Spring is Around the Corner!

Wellllllll, I took some time off from the blogosphere. I simply needed a break. Aside from working crazy hours, I've also just realized I'll probably have to move-out of my amazing townhouse. My roommate has decided she's moving to another state & basically left me hanging. If I cannot find a new roommate soon, I will without a doubt be moving into a one bedroom apartment- no more roommates- they SUCK!

Enough of that, last week I wore this outfit. It was warm one day & I had to take advantage of the spring-like temps. It's just a simple cute outfit I threw together. I was embracing spring because I actually wrote "April 20th" on a few forms- ooops.

Hopefully, there's only a few more weeks of frigid temps. Snow is expected today- BLEH!

I almost forgot, what do you think of my new haircut?! Not only did I get bangs, but I also lightened my locks to a golden brown. Change feels so good!

OOTD: Peplum Love

Hi everyone-

Yay, my first post of 2014!!!! How was your NYE?!

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to go out while my friend was in town. This is only the second time I've ever worn a peplum. I love the simplicity of this black top, but then I turn around & BOOM, there's a little skin showing. Because the top is a solid color, I wanted to add a little sparkle & shine with my accessories- hence the statement necklace, glitter heels, shiny blazer & green clutch. What do you think of this outfit?!

Wednesday Wishlist: Charlotte Russe

Hey all-

I've been thinking a lot recently on how to improve/contribute more to this blog. Aside from adding Style Consultations, maybe posting recipes & workout tips (?), I've decided to add a new feature- Wednesday Wishlist. I will showcase my favorite items from a certain store each week.

This week, I've chosen Charlotte Russe. I've always been a fan of CR. The pieces below are perfect for fall/winter.

My favorite has to be the black chiffon dress. I mean, how perfect is this for the holiday season?! I'm also loving the taupe booties. They'd compliment my Kate Spade Blaine handbag very nicely. Which item below is your favorite?

Wishlist: Charlotte Russe

Charlotte Russe black shift dress / Charlotte Russe red tunic / Charlotte Russe scoopneck tee / Charlotte Russe green top / Charlotte Russe knee length a line skirt / Charlotte Russe lace-up booties / Charlotte Russe chunky heel booties / Charlotte Russe bag / Charlotte Russe bracelet bangle / Charlotte Russe black loop scarf

OOTD: Mad for Plaid

Hey all-

Last week I attended an event hosted by Sydney of Chic Stripes & Baggio Consignment for bloggers/fashion lovers. It was a lovely event. I had never been to the store before & was pleasantly surprised by all of the goodies there. Baggio is a luxury consignment store. You can find names like Louis Vuitton, Hermes & Chanel all in very good condition. I found the most amazing pair of leopard print pony hair Manolo Blahniks ($690) that I wish I could have gotten that night. I still think about them. I also learned that Baggio offers three month layaway on the designer goods- making it the ideal place to purchase luxury items for someone like me who has champagne taste on a beer budget. Be sure to check out Chic Stripes and Baggio's web sites.

It's the weekend, got any plans?!

OOTD: Eurotrash Fashion Show Pt. 1

Hello-

I decided to take a break from posting about New York Fashion Week to show you what I wore to a fashion show last night. Eurotrash is a store located in Carytown and last night they had a little get together & fashion show (more pics in pt. 2). I fought the urge to buy a new outfit for this event & scoured through my closet. Naturally, I wanted to wear sequins, afterall, it was a nighttime event. I knew my jacket from The Limited was perfect. I also like pairing this jacket with my Sam Edelmans that I was lucky enough to find at Marshalls a few months ago for a mere $45!! I also got raves reviews for my distressed boyfriend jeans & decided to go for a more casual look. I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome.Would you wear this outfit or something similar?

OOTD: Distressed Boyfriend Jeans

Hey all-

First, ignore all the random crap on the floor next to my feet. I was in a rush & didn't think to clear a spot for this picture. I also had no intentions on it ever ending up on Shoes & Champagne. But for whatever reason, I got lots of compliments on this casual ensemble so I had to share it!

Second, I'm normally not so into the the whole distressed denim look or boyfriend jeans at all. However, a few years ago I decided to purchase these jeans. Random, I know. Up until last Friday, I may have worn these once or twice. I decided to keep my outfit casual yet stylish for a night out. I threw this together in about 10 minutes & I was out for the night.

Actually, I got more compliments on my shoes than anything, but that was the purpose of these basic pieces- to showcase the shoes. Mission accomplished.

By the looks of the Outfit Details, I need to go shopping! Would you wear distressed jeans?

Anywho, I wore this outfit for a day full of meetings. I've been a part of this really cool project & I cannot wait to fill you all in on the details, stay tuned. Since all of the meetings were in the Arts & Culture District of the city, I wanted to be professional, but fashionable. I chose a loose fitting blouse & a pencil skirt.
