RVA Fashion Week: Day 2

Today, I bring you photos from Day 2 of RVA Fashion Week. It was a networking social held at Tobacco Company. It was a great event & I met lots of great people!

I knew I wanted to wear something I typically wouldn't wear, but also pieces I already owned. I have learned one can never go wrong with chambray. Normally I pair this shirt with colored denim, but I had only worn this chiffon skirt once before, so I knew it'd be perfect. I'm in love with my earrings from Sassy Jones Boutique, too. They'd paired impeccably with this outfit!

Wednesday Wish List: Forever 21

I haven't shopped at Forever 21 in a very long time. The other night, I was browsing their online collection & saw a few items I must have in my wardrobe.

This taupe blazer is number one my list. I love a boyfriend blazer. This will pair nicely with skinny jeans & booties on the weekend or spruce up a dress for work. It's very versatile & easier to wear in warmer months compared to the gray bf blazer I currently own.

Second, this navy dress is perfect for touring vineyards. It can be dressed up or down. I'd actually like to pair it with the white blazer underneath it. How cute would this dress & blazer be together?!

Lastly, I'm trying to incorporate color into my wardrobe. This surplus blouse is the perfect color to add spice to my usual neutral heavy looks.

OOTD: Spring is Around the Corner!

Wellllllll, I took some time off from the blogosphere. I simply needed a break. Aside from working crazy hours, I've also just realized I'll probably have to move-out of my amazing townhouse. My roommate has decided she's moving to another state & basically left me hanging. If I cannot find a new roommate soon, I will without a doubt be moving into a one bedroom apartment- no more roommates- they SUCK!

Enough of that, last week I wore this outfit. It was warm one day & I had to take advantage of the spring-like temps. It's just a simple cute outfit I threw together. I was embracing spring because I actually wrote "April 20th" on a few forms- ooops.

Hopefully, there's only a few more weeks of frigid temps. Snow is expected today- BLEH!

Wednesday Wish List: Sequin Dresses

Although I haven't confirmed any plans, I will be donning a little sequin number as always. This year, I'm thinking about pairing sequins with either feathers or tulle- haven't decided just yet. United for UNOS 5th Annual Soiree

Hey all-

A few weeks ago, I attended the United for UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) Soiree. It was absolutely fantastic. I love an opportunity to dress up in sequins & enjoy amazing food from the Richmond area.

I got this dress a few years ago & I'd only worn it once. I'm trying to save money, so I was thrilled when I saw this dress hanging in my closet. Honestly, I've got a lot of clothes with the tags still attached that I should probably wear before convincing myself I need new ones.

The White Jeans Debate Inspired By Courtney Kerr

Hey all-

It's Friday! How has your week been? Mine has not nearly been up to par compared to last week- RVA Fashion Week. Last Thursday, I attended a show featuring local boutiques. It was so much fun. I met some pretty amazing people & had a really good time. It's so comforting to be around so many well dressed people who share the same passion for fashion as me.

When brainstorming the perfect outfit, I look to none other than my fashion muse, Miss Courtney Kerr. I am so thrilled that she updates her blog, What Courtney Wore often. It's the perfect place to draw inspo. I wanted to be fashionable (afterall I was attending a show), but also wear pieces I currently owned. I saw her post, The White Jeans Debate (yep, stole her title for my post) & I knew this was the outfit I needed to recreate. I had all the correct items- white blazer, white jeans, chambray button down, statement necklace, sparkly heels, sunnies & Louis Vuitton. I actually own a pair of pumps similar to Courtney's, but I couldn't resist wearing these gold gems- I've only worn them once in a year! What are your thoughts on white denim? Weekend Fun

Hey all-





How was everyone's weekend?! Mine was so much fun. I actually had an entire weekend off & one of my girlfriends came to visit. I wore this outfit Saturday to brunch (aka mimosas) since it was abnormally warm for Noevember. I've understood the purpose of a short sleeve sweater, but this one is extremely practical. It's not too thick, which made it the perfect choice.

I try to be as fashionable as possible, butI'm finding that a lot of cute options just simply don't exist in these colors. This past weekend, I had the privilege to go to Blacksburg to visit my brother. When I found out I was going, I knew I wanted to incorporate my favorites into this outfit- helloo, black, red & leopard. I also knew that's it's always chilly in the burg & threw a chambray shirt into my massive bag. Want to know a secret?! I only wore these wedges for these pics; too much walking is involved in Blacksburg to prance around in these beauties.

It was actually very nice to hangout with my family & just well, do nothing. I mean, we went out to eat & shopping, but when you're as busy as we are, it's nessecary sometimes to just do nothing. I did get a computer, too, so I'll be back to blogging!!!!!!

Enough about Courtney, I saw this picture of her outfit & knew I had to recreate this look. I love the chambray shirt paired witha chiffon pleated yellow skirt. Such a perfect outfit for summer (obvs she wore hers in fall, hence the booties & leather jacket).

Prints for Summer

I wore this dress a couple of weeks ago to run errands. Yes, I get dressed up to do mundane tasks. This day, I was taking the dogs to the groomer's, buying groceries & having lunch with my mom.

I absolutely love the print & colors of this dress, but the little cutout in the back is my gave feature. I got this dress from Peebles a while back when I was visiting my hometown. I can't get enough of it! I plan to wear it with wedges the next time I put it on.

Flowers & Pleats

Hi all! I really need to get a new computer, otherwise blogging will continue to be sparse. The last few posts have been done solely from my iPhone & I can't wait to get back to editing pics on my MacBook Pro (hopefully a new one).

Anywho, I wore this outfit for a day of shopping. I wore this skirt a few weeks ago to a blogger meetup, but haven't had a way to do a post for it. That's coming soon! I wanted to wear something colorful since I'm forced to wear neutrals for work. The skirt is from Forever 21 & is a tad too big; should've gotten an xs. This tank has been on the blog before & is from Old Navy. This lovely necklace added the perfect amount of color to pull this look together. I got this at H&M last week & am absolutely in love with it- it's not too heavy or bulky. Of course for a day of running around, I chose flats which this pair is from Target.

Today has been fun & tiring, I need to rest. I will do a post later showcasing all my new goodies. Stay tuned & have a fabulous weekend!!
