It' My Time To Shine

I am absolutely in LOVE with this dress.  I bought it last year for New Year's & am always on the lookout for a new opportunity to wear it. Since prancing around last NYE in this little sparkly number, I've only worn it one other time (aside from this photo shoot). I cannot get enough of this dress. I honestly wish I could wear it again this New Year's, maybe in a different color. I'd originally wanted it in purple, but that one sold out before I could add it to my cart, ugh. But fortunately, red turned out to be a color no one (the Blacksburg bartenders) wouldn't forget. Don't you just love this dress?!!

Christmas Time + OOTD

Hope everyone has an amazing holiday! Although Christmas has changed since I'm now an "adult" it still was a great day. Plus, I hate surprises, so picking out my present ensures I will like what I get. This year I chose a camera. It's not the Nikon 1 I'd originally wanted, but it will suffice. I ended up with the Nikon S8200. I just hope this time I don't drop it on the sidewalk. Maybe I should get a case asap?!!

Anyway, I wore this outfit Christmas day. I was obviously going for a casual look (mainly because I wasn't aware I'd be leaving my house except to pick up wine). But I actually ended up liking the way this thrown together outfit turned out.

So I Did A Little Shopping

I was inspired to do a little shopping yesterday. I actually made two trips out: one to Ross on my lunch break & another to Target after work. The traffic and amount of people were horrible- the main reason I online shop. But I braved the crowds to endure some instant gratification. Here's what I bought:

A great casual piece.

This was purchased simply because I love sequins

All in all, I'd say this was a rather successful shopping excursion- considering I didn't really need any of this. My only downfall is I wish I would've found a pair of shoes. It's been SOOO long since I've purchased an amazing pair of heels.

All I Want For Christmas

As a blogger, I obviously need a camera. So I have decided this is exactly what I want for Christmas. It takes great quality photos but is still small enough for me to carry around in my purse. CHristmas is only a few days away, I've gotta convinve my parents to buy it for me. Wish me luck!! 

Tis The Season To Sparkle

I'm really hoping for a camera for Christmas- these photos are horrible. Hopefully at some point, I'll be able to do an actual post on this outfit. I wore this last night to a holiday dinner with my company. I'm always up for the chance to get a little dressed up & couldn't pass on an opportunity to wear sequins. Shiny Pink

Today I woke up feeling a little blah. What better way to spice up the day than to wear something shiny?! So without hesitation, I grabbed this pink blazer & paired it with an attention grabbing statement necklace. Making sure not to overwhelm, I went with an all black background to allow these pieces to, well umm, SHINE.

And how about this lovely tree?! I really wish I had remembered to turn on the lights. Dangit. Looking at these photos, really makes me ponder why I didn't brave the Black Friday crowds to buy a new camera. One day I''ll get a new. Hopefully a DSLR.  A girl can dream, right?!!

Hi readers!! I am very tired after probably one the craziest weekends ever. SO MUCH FUN!!

I believe this may be my new favorite blouse. I've worn it a few times (like here) & I never get tired of it.  It was rather chilly the night I chose this outfit, so tights & leopard booties were the perfect accessories. Actually, these are probably the worst shoes ever- no grippers, I spent lots of time on the floor due to their slipperiness. But at least they're cute, right?!

Maxi In The Office

Seriously all I ever talk about or do these days is work, work, work- BLAH! I took advantage of Nordy's Half Yearly Sale and bought a maxi dress, which inspired this outfit. I do have more than this maxi dress, but it may be my fave (until my new one gets here). I've worn this dress before (here) but the temps were  little warmer. This time I paired the dress with a scarf, blazer and flats for more of a Fall look. I'm just really obsessed with layering I guess. Would you wear a maxi dress/skirt to work?!

Fall is finally here!!!! I love that I can layer all my favorite pieces together to create an outfit. Although I have a lot on, it all just sort of works. Throughout this season, you'll be seeing me wear lots of tights, dresses, boots & scarves.
