The Experience Tour- All That Glitters

Hey all-

A couple of weeks ago, I did a post promoting The Experience Tour hosted by Doll Factory LLC. It was a spectacular event. If you weren't able to attend, I tried my best to snap some photos and include the businesses that participated.

I had the time of my life. Nothing excites me more than to be in a room full of well dressed patrons, sipping wine and shopping. Check out the photos below & be sure to check out the boutiques & vendors who participated.

Music Monday

Hey all-

It's no secret that I'm a HUGE Ke$ha fan. I mean, the girl's music is fun & who doesn't love to dance?! When I first heard Crazy Kids, it instantly became my fave song on Warrior. Well, adding Will.I.Am has made me love this tune even more. Hope you like it as much as I do. DANCE PARTY!!!

RVA Fashion Week: Designer Showcase

Hey all-

Yes, it's another RVA Fashion Week post, get excited! The finale show this year was held at Plant Zero, which is a much larger venue than last year's show. The show was fantastic & I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. So much so that I forgot I'm a blogger & should be taking photos, that I just sat back & took in the show. For a complete list of the designers, head over to the RVA Fashion Week page. Hope you like what few photos I actually manage to snap.

RVA Fashion Week: Carytown Boutique Fashion Show

Hey all-

About two weeks ago, I attended a fashion show held in Cary Court, here in Richmond during RVA Fashion Week. The show featured everyday looks for spring & summer by retailers that are staples in the Richmond community. I only captured a few looks because I am a bad blogger & forgot to charge my camera & my iPhone's flash wouldn't work. I know, excuses excuses. For more (& better) pics, be sure to head over to RVA Fashion Week's website.

Such a great show! To see my outfit, check out this post.

The White Jeans Debate Inspired By Courtney Kerr

Hey all-

It's Friday! How has your week been? Mine has not nearly been up to par compared to last week- RVA Fashion Week. Last Thursday, I attended a show featuring local boutiques. It was so much fun. I met some pretty amazing people & had a really good time. It's so comforting to be around so many well dressed people who share the same passion for fashion as me.

When brainstorming the perfect outfit, I look to none other than my fashion muse, Miss Courtney Kerr. I am so thrilled that she updates her blog, What Courtney Wore often. It's the perfect place to draw inspo. I wanted to be fashionable (afterall I was attending a show), but also wear pieces I currently owned. I saw her post, The White Jeans Debate (yep, stole her title for my post) & I knew this was the outfit I needed to recreate. I had all the correct items- white blazer, white jeans, chambray button down, statement necklace, sparkly heels, sunnies & Louis Vuitton. I actually own a pair of pumps similar to Courtney's, but I couldn't resist wearing these gold gems- I've only worn them once in a year! What are your thoughts on white denim? How do you think my outfit turned out?

Outfit Details
Shirt: Forever 21
Blazer: H&M
Jeans: A.Byer via Peebles
Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Watch: Michael Kors
Cuff: Body Central
Necklace & Pumps: Charlotte Russe
Purse: Louis Vuitton

My friend, Elise, who attended the show with me. (Hope she doesn't mind me posting this pic, since I didn't ask ;-)

Stay tuned for more posts on RVA Fashion Week. Head over to Courtney's blog too for some outfit inspo. Have a great weekend!

Dolls in the City "The Experience Tour"

Hey all-

Last week during RVA Fashion Week (posts to come), I met Leslie Marie, owner/president of Doll Factory, LLC & Dolls in the City. She invited me to this amazing event hosted by Doll Factory, "The Experience Tour" that will take place this Friday evening, May 10th at 6pm-9:30pm at Art6 Gallery.

For those of you unfamiliar with these Doll Factory, LLC, is a company that currently offers natural cosmetics with expansion into a total lifestyle brand in the works.  Pucker Cake, the  headliner, is a collection of lip products created to be "caked" to intensify the color application without creating too much shine.

Dolls in the City is a series of exclusive events offering savvy women an evening of all things dolls love; pampering, shopping, tasting, and sipping. Leslie promises a different experience as a guest at the Dolls in the City series of exclusive events.

I'll definitely be atteneding! && for one of my lucky readers, I have a FREE ticket. Let me know if you'd like to tag along with me! For additional info, don't hestiate to ask me or contact Leslie directly. Hope to see you all there!!

New: Marshalls

Hi all-

This past week has been insane, but so much fun. Between work, working out, RVA Fashion Week & dating, I've been so busy. I decided to treat myself to a mini shopping spree at Marshalls this morning. I got really lucky on my finds & wanted to share 'em with you:

Blouse: Cynthia Rowley
I will pretty much buy anything Cynthia Rowley. It's just a cute flowy girly top.

Shoes: Sam Edelman
When these Yelenta's first came out, I wanted them so badly, BUT disliked the $130+ price tag.
I couldn't resist these beauties on clearance for $45. Amazing deal!

Shoes: BCBG
I know these are not fashion forward, but they are work appropriate. They're comfy & the fact that they're BCBG is enough for me.

Hairspray: CHI
I've been looking for a voluminizing hairspray that won't make my hair hard. Hopefully this one will get the job done.

The total of all these items was just a little over $100. For the brands I got, I think this trip to Marshalls was extremely successful. Have you found any good deals recently?!
