What Haute to Wear

Hey all-

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a fashion show sponsored by Dress for Success, What Haute to Wear: A Recycled Fashion Show. It was a great event, not only showcasing outfits for women to wear to interviews, but also a competition  where designers had to take item donated & create entirely different looks. Needless to say, it was a great event & I'm happy I attended. (This post is very picture heavy)

I had the time of my life. Nothing excites me more than to be in a room full of well dressed patrons, sipping wine and shopping. Check out the photos below & be sure to check out the boutiques & vendors who participated.

Music Monday

Hey all-

It's no secret that I'm a HUGE Ke$ha fan. I mean, the girl's music is fun & who doesn't love to dance?! When I first heard Crazy Kids, it instantly became my fave song on Warrior. Well, adding Will.I.Am has made me love this tune even more. Hope you like it as much as I do. DANCE PARTY!!!

RVA Fashion Week: Designer Showcase

Hey all-

Yes, it's another RVA Fashion Week post, get excited! The finale show this year was held at Plant Zero, which is a much larger venue than last year's show. The show was fantastic & I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. So much so that I forgot I'm a blogger & should be taking photos, that I just sat back & took in the show. For a complete list of the designers, head over to the RVA Fashion Week page. Hope you like what few photos I actually manage to snap.

RVA Fashion Week: Carytown Boutique Fashion Show

Hey all-

About two weeks ago, I attended a fashion show held in Cary Court, here in Richmond during RVA Fashion Week. The show featured everyday looks for spring & summer by retailers that are staples in the Richmond community. I only captured a few looks because I am a bad blogger & forgot to charge my camera & my iPhone's flash wouldn't work. I know, excuses excuses. For more (& better) pics, be sure to head over to RVA Fashion Week's website.

The White Jeans Debate Inspired By Courtney Kerr

Hey all-

It's Friday! How has your week been? Mine has not nearly been up to par compared to last week- RVA Fashion Week. Last Thursday, I attended a show featuring local boutiques. It was so much fun. I met some pretty amazing people & had a really good time. It's so comforting to be around so many well dressed people who share the same passion for fashion as me.

When brainstorming the perfect outfit, I look to none other than my fashion muse, Miss Courtney Kerr. I am so thrilled that she updates her blog, What Courtney Wore often. It's the perfect place to draw inspo. I wanted to be fashionable (afterall I was attending a show), but also wear pieces I currently owned. I saw her post, The White Jeans Debate (yep, stole her title for my post) & I knew this was the outfit I needed to recreate. I had all the correct items- white blazer, white jeans, chambray button down, statement necklace, sparkly heels, sunnies & Louis Vuitton. I actually own a pair of pumps similar to Courtney's, but I couldn't resist wearing these gold gems- I've only worn them once in a year! What are your thoughts on white denim? How do you think my outfit turned out?
